Preparation: The patient lies down comfortably, with their eyes closed. A dough ring (made from a special Ayurvedic paste) is placed around the eyes to form a boundary that will hold the warm oil in place.
Oil Application: Warm medicated ghee or herbal oil is poured into the dough ring, ensuring that it fully covers the area around the eyes. The oil is allowed to soak into the skin, nourishing the eyes and surrounding tissues.
Retention of Oil: The oil is kept in place for about 15 to 20 minutes, allowing the medicinal properties to penetrate and nourish the eye area deeply.
Post-treatment Care: After the therapy, the oil is gently removed, and the patient may be asked to rest for a short period to allow the therapeutic effects to take full effect.
