Preparation: The patient is made to sit down comfortably, and the scalp and hair are gently massaged with a specially formulated herbal oil. The oils are selected based on the individual’s dosha and hair needs (for example, oils rich in Brahmi, Amla, or Bhringraj).
Herbal Paste Application: If needed, a herbal paste made from natural ingredients such as fenugreek, hibiscus, neem, etc., is applied to the scalp. These pastes help to cleanse the scalp, remove impurities, and promote hair health.
Massage: The practitioner massages the scalp with slow, circular movements, stimulating the hair follicles, improving blood circulation, and relaxing the muscles around the head.
Steam or Warm Compress: In some cases, a warm compress or steam is applied to the scalp after the oil or paste is applied to enhance absorption of the medicinal properties.
Post-treatment Care: After the therapy, the hair may be washed with a mild herbal shampoo, and the patient is advised to rest and avoid any harsh treatments for the hair in the following days.
