How Ekhanga Abhyanga Works?

Working on  specific areas of the body,  Ekangam is a focused  therapy designed to relieve pain, stiffness, and discomfort The therapy involves the application of warm herbal oils, pastes, or poultices directly to the affected area. The ingredients used are carefully selected based on the patient’s dosha and condition to provide targeted relief. It promoting blood circulation, relaxing muscles, reducing inflammation, and restoring balance to the body. It is particularly beneficial for localized pain, muscular strain, and joint discomfort.

Ekhanga Abhyanga Procedure

Preparation: The patient is made to lie or sit in a comfortable position, depending on the affected area. The treatment area is exposed and cleansed. 

Application of Oil or Paste: Warm, medicated oil or herbal paste or poulties is applied directly to the localized area where pain or tension is felt.  

Massage or Heat Therapy: Depending on the treatment, the area may be massaged gently, or heat may be applied to enhance absorption. The oil or paste is allowed to sit for a specific amount of time to take effect. 

Post-treatment Care: The excess oil or paste is gently wiped away, and the area may be massaged further. Rest is advised to allow the body to absorb the therapeutic benefits.
