Preparation: The patient is made to lie down in a comfortable position, and the Therapist begins by applying warm, medicated oils to the body. The oils used are chosen based on the patient’s dosha and health condition.
Oil Massage: The Therapist performs a gentle, rhythmic massage using long strokes, circular movements, and light pressure, working to relax the muscles, improve circulation, and relieve stress.
Sweating Phase: Then the patient is then exposed to steam or a herbal fomentation process by making them sit in a special steam box or using herbal poultices. The heat causes the body to sweat, further assisting in the elimination of toxins and promoting relaxation.
Post-Treatment Relaxation: After the therapy, the patient is allowed to rest and hydrate, ensuring full absorption of the benefits of the therapy.
